The center was founded in 1994 by Dr. Edward Ramirez with a dedication to excellence in patient care. He was the first in Monterey County to use the minimally invasive technique of laparoscopic surgery to treat pelvic disorders and the first to use assisted reproductive technology with IVF/ICSI .
In 2008, the Fertility & Gynecology Center established their new clinic and IVF center in the Laguna Seca Business Park in Monterey. By passing AAAHC and CAP in 2009, it met the gold standard of laboratory and surgery center accreditations demonstrating the clinical excellence of Monterey Bay IVF and its staff. The center has welcomed patients from all over northern California and across the globe. The doctor is also fluent in Spanish and Japanese.
