Dr. Edward Ramirez is a caring and skilled gynecologist who is dedicated to providing one-on-one continuous care across the lifespan of his patients. As a Stanford trained, board-certified specialist in Obstetrics and Gynecology, Dr. Ramirez is a highly skilled practitioner at the very top of his field. He takes time with his patients, genuinely listens and provides responses that are easy to understand. For over twenty years, the doctor has treated a wide spectrum of female patients, from those with difficult menstruation and women with menopausal concerns, to those in their post-menopausal years and women in need of gynecologic surgery. His diagnosis and treatment paths are Patient Specific, not “cookbook” medicine. His surgical technique is one of the best in Monterey County. Dr. Ramirez was among the first gynecologists in Monterey County to perform a laparoscopicassisted hysterectomy. He specializes in and has great skill in laparoscopic surgery as a minimally invasive technique to treat conditions such as pelvic pain, fibroids, endometriosis, and tubal issues. He was also one of the first to achieve certification in advanced laparoscopic surgery from the Accreditation Council for Advanced Laparoscopic Surgery, a division of the American Association of Gynecologic Laparoscopists. His laparoscopy patients go home the same day.
